Is CREB FDIC insured?

October 27, 2026

No. FDIC insurance covers bank deposits, such as checking and savings accounts, at insured banks. CREB is not a bank, and CREB bonds are securities, so they're not covered.

Treasuries are different

Part of CREB's portfolio is held in U.S. Treasury bills, which are backed by the U.S. government. That backing applies only to the Treasuries themselves, not to your CREB bonds.

See how CREB protects investor capital and the main risks.

CREB bonds are investments, not bank deposits. They are not FDIC insured, and you could lose money, including principal.
