You choose what happens to your interest. By default it stays in your balance and compounds daily, earning interest of its own. If you need income, you can request a withdrawal at any time.

Investors building savings usually leave interest invested, which earns the full 8.50% APY over a year.

Taking income

Investors who want regular income can request withdrawals, for example monthly. There's no withdrawal fee. Each withdrawal lowers your balance, so future interest is calculated on the smaller amount.
