CREB calculates interest daily on your entire balance, including interest you've already earned, and credits it to your account the same day. Because each day's interest is added to your balance, tomorrow's interest is calculated on a slightly larger amount.
On a $10,000 balance, you earn roughly $2.26 on your first day. That interest is added to your balance, so the next day's interest is calculated on about $10,002.26. Over a year without withdrawals, this compounding adds up to 8.50% APY, about $850.
[CONFIRM: exact daily rate. The Bond Overview shows Balance × 0.085 ÷ 365, which compounds to about 8.87% APY rather than 8.50%.]
You can see each day's interest in your dashboard. See how to see the interest you've earned.
8.50% APY is the current stated rate under the offering terms and may change.
